Darlene is a
signature member of The Pastel Society of America. She is the recipient of a
five-week study residency from Association des Amis de la Grande Vigne, Atelier
d’Ariste, Manoir de Ferron, Dinan, France.
Also the recipient
of a four week residency at Montana Artists Refuge in Basin, Montana. USA. Her
work has been selected for inclusion in The Art Embassies Program sponsored by
the U.S. State Department. She also has been featured in the newsletters of
Degas Pastel Society of New Orleans, Central Texas Pastel Society and Pastel
Painters Society of Cape Cod.

Darlene has studied
pastel at the John McCrady Art School in New Orleans, watercolor and drawing at
Tulane University and color and design at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Art.
She has taken academic classes at the University of New Orleans and Delgado
College. She has studied privately with many national and international pastel
artists.
